Donated as part of a fundraiser held by Jill A., one of the amazing nurses at Mayo clinic, in support of Sunshine Acres in Mesa, AZ.
Sunshine Acres was founded in 1954 by Rev. James and “Aunt” Vera Dingman. Their mission is to provide a loving, wholesome, Christian home for children who are separated from their parents and help them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures. Placements are private so there is no government support for the children’s care. Sunshine Acres is faith-based and does not solicit. Individuals, churches and companies give and raise funds for the home because they have a heart to support the mission, not because they’ve been asked. No child is turned away for financial reasons.
